The Hwa–Rang Taekwondo Federation

Grand Master Jack Pierce, 8th Degree Black Belt, founded the Hwa–Rang Taekwondo Federation on December 1, 1999. The Hwa–Rang Taekwondo Federation is an association consisting of students, instructors, and Masters, dedicated to the education and unification of those who wish to learn, teach, and advance in rank in Taekwondo.

The HTF offers official rank certification in Taekwondo, as well as instructor certification. Once registered with the HTF, instructors will be able to test their students through the HTF to insure their ranks are registered and recognized. All HTF certificates are sent directly from the International Headquarters.

The HTF has developed a DVD collection of training presentations including patterns, one–step sparring, sparring combinations, and self–defense. The presentations and programs are designed to assist HTF members increase their knowledge and abilities, as they prepare to advance through the belt ranks.

Many Taekwondo organizations have placed heavy emphasis on the ”sport“ aspect of Taekwondo and have neglected many other important aspects of the ”total martial art“. Though the HTF encourages its members to attend HTF sanctioned tournaments, the HTF focuses on the total development of each individual through teaching the complete martial art of Taekwondo to each member. The HTF teaches the history, traditions, and philosophy of Taekwondo while also teaching the art of practical self–defense. Those who are dedicated to practicing and teaching Taekwondo can take pride in the association they belong to.
